Electronics & Optics

Smaller, faster, more efficient: Electronics are ubiquitous, and H.C. Starck is almost always present. The advancing miniaturization of electronic devices, for example, could not have been possible without the development of continuously higher performing tantalum powders for electrolytic capacitors.

The good thermal conductivity of refractory metals and specialty ceramics remain important in light of the constantly higher clock frequencies of modern computers.

Fly back transformers for TVs, computer-screens and networking devices are equipped with magnetic materials from the AMPERSINT® MAP series. Sputtering targets for high-speed computer chips or high resolution LCD-screens are produced from high purity tantalum and molybdenum powders.
