Career Fitness Circuit, Goslar

Goslar (Germany), July 21, 2014. Six trainees from H.C. Starck in Goslar went back to high school, but not to sit behind a desk. On a career fitness circuit over the course of three days, they taught eighth grade students from the Adolf Grimme School in Oker and ninth grade students from Bad Harzburg High School about the professions they are training, which are Chemical Technician and Chemistry Laboratory Assistant.


H.C. Starck Tour, Chemistry Olympiad TU Clausthal

Goslar (Germany), June 18, 2014. Sixteen students visited the H.C. Starck plant in Goslar as part of a seminar to prepare for the selection rounds for the International Chemistry Olympiad to be held in Azerbaijan in 2015.


University Fair, TU Clausthal

Goslar (Germany), May 22, 2014. H.C. Starck took part in the “hochsprung” Career Fair at Clausthal Technical University for the third year. At the H.C. Starck booth, students had an opportunity to learn about fields of activity, job specifications, development and entry opportunities, internships, job openings and practice-oriented theses and dissertations. A total of 40 firms participated.


H.C. Starck Tour, University of Regensburg

Goslar (Germany), May 21, 2014. Not even the 500-kilometer trip could discourage the chemistry students from the University of Regensburg from visiting H.C Starck in Goslar. The Chair holder in Inorganic Chemistry Department at the University of Regensburg and the Head of Research & Development Tantalum/Niobium Powders at H.C. Starck in Goslar provided the impetus for the excursion.


Trainee Fair, Ratsgymnasium Secondary School Goslar

Goslar (Germany), March 27, 2014. H.C. Starck spent the morning at the Ratsgymnasium secondary school in Goslar at the first event organized by the high school to offer students a chance to talk to 18 regional companies about the training they offer. At the H.C. Starck stand two trainees joined one employee from Human Resources Department to offer interested young people insight into what to expect from training and internships in the H.C. Starck labs, plants and offices.


Girls' & Boys' Day 2014

Goslar, Laufenburg und Selb (Germany), March 27, 2014. Girls' Day and Boys' Day, also known as Future Day, is Germany-wide an opportunity for young women and men ages 12 and up to get to know professions in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). H.C. Starck participated in this career orientation day at the Selb, Laufenburg and Goslar sites. A total of 55 students learned about the company’s training programs in technical and natural science fields.


Laboratory Internship and H.C. Starck Tour, Ratsgymnasium Secondary School Goslar

Goslar (Germany), March 2014. Out of the classroom and into the laboratory. The eleventh graders at the Ratsgymnasium secondary school in Goslar were lucky this year. Twenty students from a chemistry class got to know H.C. Starck as a partner, and enjoyed a taste of what working in a laboratory is like.


H.C. Starck Tour, Technical High-School Bad Säckingen

Laufenburg (Germany), March 12, 2014. It is a common sight these days at H.C. Starck in Laufenburg. The door opens and young people pile in for one of the increasingly popular company tours, gesturing, listening, and maybe passing a few pictures around. Three trainees gave visitors from technical high schools in Bad Säckingen a hands-on taste of what training to be a Chemical Technician and production at an international chemical company is like.


Trainee Fair, Stadthalle Eisenberg

Hermsdorf (Germany), February 7, 2014. Talking about the first steps towards the future. This was the goal of many of the young people who flocked to the Stadthalle Eisenberg. H.C. Starck Hermsdorf GmbH was joined by around fifty other companies that presented their range of training opportunities at the seventh Job Fair.


Trainee Fair, Dr.-Franz-Bogner Middle School Selb

Selb (Germany), January 25, 2014. As graduation nears, many high-school students ask themselves: “What do I want to be?” The Dr.-Franz-Bogner Middle School in Selb hosted a recruiting fair to address this question. Around fifty companies from Upper Franconia, including H.C. Starck Ceramics GmbH, participated in the event. Approximately 600 young people from schools in Selb and the surrounding area took advantage of the opportunity to learn about different professions and educational opportunities.


University Fair, TU Bergakademie Freiberg

Goslar (Germany), January 9, 2014. Since 1765, the great scientific minds of the future have studied at TU Bergakademie Freiberg. The technical university is a so-called resource university that offers instruction and research in the sustainable material and energy management of geological raw materials, such as tungsten. TU Bergakademie Freiberg hosted the ORTE Recruiting Fair, an opportunity for students and graduates to ask representatives from training companies and educational institutions about recruitment opportunities, internships and theses.
