Tungsten’s unique properties make it indispensable in many key industries. With a melting point of 3,422 °C, the highest of any metal, it withstands the highest temperatures with minimal thermal expansion. Tungsten is over one and a half times heavier than lead. Its exceptional hardness, nearly equal to that of diamond, makes tungsten carbide the material of choice wherever special loads have to be handled.
