H.C. Starck Tungsten Powders follows a holistic concept of sustainability that extends from raw material extraction and supply chains to production facilities and processes and occupational health and safety. As a company in the metallurgy industry, we attach particular importance to the origin of the primary raw materials we use to supplement the secondary materials obtained from recycling. We are founding members of the Tungsten Industries – Conflict Minerals Council (Tl – CMC) and members of the ITRI Tin Supply Chain Initiative (iTSCi) and the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).
We take responsibility
Our contribution
Efficiency and technology for climate protection
We take responsibility for careful handling of limited fossil raw materials, recognising that efficient energy use is crucial for sustainable climate protection. For that reason, we continually optimise our processes using the latest technology with the goal of minimising natural resource consumption. We are certified in line with ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 50001 (energy management). You can find our current certifications in the downloads area.
Sustainable management
H.C. Starck Tungsten Powders has implemented management systems in line with international standards, and we commission internationally recognised certification companies to audit them. This ensures that the materials we deliver are consistent, usable, and pure, and that the processes are reproducible. Constant optimisation of our production processes in terms of product quality and on-time delivery form a basis for long-term partnerships with our customers. Social and economic responsibility
H.C. Starck Tungsten Powders is committed to providing educational and vocational support for young people, with the goal of contributing to the sustainable, future-proof development of the chemical industry.
