H.C. Starck Invests Several Million Euros in Digital Platform for Business Processes

Strategic realignment of IT landscape to strengthen Group’s future readiness

Goslar, GERMANY, September 2, 2026 – The H.C. Starck Group is investing several million euros in the global strategic realignment of its IT landscape. Management recently signed an agreement in Goslar with NTT Data, one of the world’s leading SAP consulting and implementation partners.

Following the decision to invest around €50 million in expanding tungsten recycling operations, the agreement marks H.C. Starck’s second significant investment in its future within just a few weeks.

The comprehensive modernization of the system, scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2028, will harmonize and standardize processes across the company and give users access to state-of-the-art applications.

H.C. Starck’s expertise will also contribute to the development of a new SAP module covering the entire commodity management process. Through project partner NTT Data, the module could potentially benefit other companies in the future as well.

“We are systematically preparing our Group for the future,” says Olaf Goertz, Director Group IT. “The digital infrastructure on which all our business processes are based plays a central role in this effort. This latest investment demonstrates that our parent company, Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, supports our strategy and is prepared to provide the resources required to implement it.”

In addition to tungsten specialist H.C. Starck Tungsten, the H.C. Starck Group includes analytical services provider Chemilytics and Chemitas, operator of Metallurgie Park Oker. All three companies are headquartered in Goslar.
