H.C. Starck Tungsten donates chemical safety goggles to high schools
Goslar, November 19, 2020 – H.C. Starck Tungsten GmbH, a subsidiary of the Hanoi-based Vietnamese consortium Masan High-Tech Materials, has donated 160 safety goggles apiece to two high schools in Goslar, Christian-von-Dohm-Gymnasium and Ratsgymnasium, for use in chemistry classes. The idea came from Celine Krosta, a student at Ratsgymnasium whose father works at H.C. Starck Tungsten. In a letter to the executive board, she reported that protective equipment is always in short supply. Site Manager Juliane Saupe delivered the goggles in person today and last Wednesday. “Introducing young people to chemistry is very important to us, especially here in Goslar,” she says. “And so we are happy to support the students. Who knows, maybe some of those sitting in the classrooms will join our team in the future!”
